ICOM Student-Led Journal Club

ICOM Student-Led Journal Club

ICOM’s student-run Journal Club focuses on demystifying the research process. Students will be guided at a beginner to intermediate level on how to understand journal articles and how research is done. The goal is to engage students in peer discussions and increase their confidence in approaching and interpreting medical literature. Topics vary from comparing and contrasting articles, scientific communication, and how to determine quality literature.

Rules for participation in the ICOM student-led journal club:

1. Be curious

2. Show up

That's it! It's helpful if you read through the articles, but it's not necessary. Each session is a very informal, yet informative, approach to examining medical research topics.
